A hackathon is a great place to learn a bunch of skills and grow your network with other like-minded hackers. Participants compete in a 24-hour challenge to ideate, prototype, and present an idea that captures the theme of the hackathon! This fast-paced and insomniac event is an extremely popular format for tech heads and from all experience levels. Whether you're in high school, college, or an industry vet, there's something for everyone! Get hacking 💯

This is my first Hackathon!

We're excited to be your first time! A hackathon can quite confusing and we're here to walk you through it.

Look Ahead 🔭

Plan out your schedule for the event by going through the activities, workshops, etc. that you want to attend so you don't miss out on anything and can prevent being overwhelmed by everything that's going on. With the event being online, there's a lot that can be happening at the same time so it's best to be aware ahead of time of what's to come.

Form a Team 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Reach out on Discord in the #team-formation channel of the Social and make some new friends! Hackathons are a great place to meet new people and learn interesting things together. Network and form your team to make the most out of your experience.

Pick a Track 🔑

Familiarize yourself with our tracks and their respective prizes to get motivated. Select one that speaks to you and start ideating with your team. And, if you're riding solo bounce some ideas off the wall or with a mentor on Discord and get cracking.

Git and GitHub are really powerful tools that help manage codebase versions and collaborate with team members seamlessly. The workflow usually looks like this:
